K9CX Response Dogs
Providing fully trained explosive detection dogs that will defend against any active
threat/shooter situation.
Defending vulnerable crowds in environments such as sporting events, hospitals,
schools, work centers, government buildings, etc.
The specially trained Response Dogs from K9CX will be well-mannered in all environments and all demographics of people while providing optimal Deterrence, Detection and Defense capabilities with a well-trained handler(s) dependent upon location and coverage.
Initial Training Process:
Primarily using German Shepard Dogs that are between the age of 6 months -1 year. An effort will be made to check with the local shelters for this criterion; however any dog that is not procured from a quality vetted vendor will have a greater chance of a lengthier training process. Threat Training.
Trained Detection Odors:
Ammunition, Black Powder, Cannon Cord, Firearms (New and Old), Fireworks, Knife,
Pipe Bombs, Smokeless Powder, Tannerite. Dogs will be pre-trained without the handler during Weeks 1-4. After completion, the
handler(s) will be paired and incorporated into the training regimen for dog team
success.
COMPLETION OF TRAINING
The handler will feel comfortable, capable, and confident with the assigned dog. Depending on the size of venue and threat assessment, additional security measures and/or additional K9CX Response Dog teams may be required.
